“There is only one way to counter the power of organized money, and that is with the power of organized people!”

By Penny McQuaig

The House of Representatives made history on 3/21/10 by passing H R 3950 with amendment H R 4872 (Reconciliation Act).  This Senate Bill passed by a vote of 219-212.   All 178 Republicans opposed it along with 34 Democrats.  Now it’s time for the Senate to finish the job they promised.

With this bill, 32 million more Americans now have access to affordable health coverage, insurance companies can no longer deny coverage to those with pre-existing conditions and we can now began to control the skyrocketing cost.   However some states are already filing to the courts under the assertion that the mandate to buy insurance is unconstitutional.

What are your thoughts,  grievances or ideas about the bill, the process, outcome or mandate?  How does this effect you or does it?
